The Commissioner for Insurance and Chief Executive Officer of the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM), Olusegun Ayo Omosehin, and Senator Adetokunbo Abiru have been inducted as Fellows of the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB) in recognition of their contributions to Nigeria’s insurance and financial services sectors.

The conferment took place at a gala dinner hosted by the NCRIB in Abuja on Wednesday, bringing together key stakeholders from the insurance, banking and wider financial services industries.

The fellowship, one of the Council’s highest honours, recognises individuals whose leadership and professional contributions have advanced the development of the insurance industry and the broader financial services sector.

Abiru, who chairs the Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance and Other Financial Institutions, was recognised for his support for legislative initiatives aimed at promoting the growth and stability of Nigeria’s financial services sector.

Omosehin’s induction underscores his contributions to the regulation and development of Nigeria’s insurance industry.

Speaking at the event, the NCRIB president commended the inductees for their leadership, professionalism and commitment to strengthening the country’s financial ecosystem.

The ceremony also provided an opportunity for regulators, policymakers, industry leaders and practitioners to discuss issues affecting the insurance sector and reinforce collaboration towards improving insurance penetration and expanding financial inclusion across Nigeria.
