The Commission disclosed this on Thursday, two days before the August 15, 2026 election, noting that the remaining 432,843 PVCs, representing 18.50 per cent of registered voters, have been deposited with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in line with its established practice.

INEC also disclosed that 6,101 voters who applied for replacement of damaged, defaced or lost PVCs printed downloadable copies of their cards.

The Commission said it has published a polling unit-by-polling unit breakdown of the collected PVCs on its official website.

INEC National Commissioner and Chairman of the Information and Voter Education Committee, Mohammed Kudu Haruna, said the Commission remained fully prepared to conduct the election.

He reassured political parties, civil society organisations, the media and residents of Osun State of INEC’s readiness to deliver a free, fair, credible, transparent and inclusive election.

The Osun governorship election is scheduled to hold across the state on Saturday, August 15, 2026.
